I just picked up a copy of a book titled “iPhone SDK Programming” by James A Brannan.

The writing style is clear and there a work along examples in every chapter. Even better still, James has provided videos showing exactly what is required.

I chose this particular book over another one called “iPhone SDK Programming: Developing Mobile Applications for Apple iPhone and iPod touch” by Maher Ali. The main reason is that iPhone SDK Programming covers the new SDK 3.0.
